Am I covered for medical assistance and medical expenses abroad in case of Covid-19?

Yes.

If you fall ill abroad ( including by COVID-19), Europ Assistance will assist you and further follow up your case based on the medical report of the attending physician. We will take charge of the medical expenses in accordance with the underwritten assistance formula, after examination of his file by our doctor. 


However, we will always have to act in accordance with the decisions of the local authorities (e.g. access to the zone or to local medical or hospital care) and sanitary regulations imposed by the competent authorities (e.g. quarantine, isolation, testing, health protocols, etc.).

If you leave for a country or territory where a travel ban is in force for non-essential travel and you go there for a non-essential trip, you will not be covered for medical assistance and medical expenses.
